By the sea, happiness is a simple concept.

The Idea

More than ten years ago, I had a dream: to move to the sea in southern Italy. To the place where my grandmother grew up before she moved to Switzerland. So I bought a house at the end of the Italian boot.

But there was more behind this dream. I envisioned creating a new lifestyle that would seamlessly connect the north and the south. A work-life balance with a northern standard of living and the inspiring ambiente of the Mediterranean, the sea, the sun, the food and the dolce vita.

In my dream, I would blend both worlds perfectly. I would write and work from afar while watching the sea. I would think and plan projects while the wild cats and the sun orbit me. Furthermore, there would be other inspiring minds coming down to the same village at times. We would meet at the bar on the piazza, without planing, exchange, or for an aperitivo at the beach. We would cook fish together, laugh, drink - and come up with new ideas, new work, in a new and creative way.

And then it happened. One of my best friends decided to buy a house here as well. It was the birth of "Project Renaissance".

Suddenly there were two of us. We met without planning, exchanged dreams, discussed the world and the past, the future - and gave birth to new ideas and projects.

But what would it be like if we were ten instead of two? Ten minds that would meet again and again over a lifetime in the same small village on the Mediterranean without planning? Ten people that who would grow in their friendships and their ideas over a lifetime? Ten minds that would cross paths in bars and on cliffs over the years?

That's what "Project Renaissance" is all about. I have personally selected a few exclusive properties in Gagliano del Capo to share this dream with you.
